Linux System Engineer - internal IT (m/f/x)

You are the administrator of the 100 admins. Only if the internal application environment at SysEleven runs smoothly, all your colleagues can do their job. Together with your team, you are a general practitioner and helpful contact person for all problems with the office IT, operate (almost) all applications on which internal processes at SysEleven depend and develop them further.

This means in concrete terms...

  • Requirements management in cooperation with all affected teams
  • Research and evaluation of new (FOSS) tools
  • Implementation of new solutions
  • Creation of application manuals
  • Maintenance responsibility for the internal software
  • Error analysis and solution of complex software problems with corresponding documentation

What you have to bring with you...

  • You have a strong affinity for Linux/Unix systems and have gained some experience in the field in a professional context
  • You can adapt well to different personalities.
  • Ideally, you have already gained initial experience in IT support in a company
  • You are interested in (end)-applications and it is important for you to get in touch with a multitude (new) technologies

What you can expect at SysEleven...

As a contact person for all colleagues regarding our (mainly open source) applications, you have the overview and scope to “build things properly”. You operate, maintain and drive the development of our internal, mostly self-hosted applications such as Confluence, Mail, LDAP, Gitlab. Due to the mostly technically experienced colleagues, you always have sparring partners to exchange ideas on an equal footing.

*This position is available up to 100 percent remotely*
